Pray for the Lord’s righteous hand of protection over the land and her people for the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, which begins today at sundown.
Here’s a New Year’s message from the IDF (Israeli Defense Force), tasked with defending Israel against the increasingly menacing unrest on her borders:
I have set a watchman on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall never hold their peace day or night.
You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,
And give Him no rest till He establishes
And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
