Random links of interest, concern or curiosity from the past week or so, that deserve at least a SHORT mention:
Blacks and same-sex marriage – by Star Parker:
On Sunday, blacks hear preachers talk about traditional values, about family, about personal responsibility, about the sanctity of life. On Tuesday they go to the polls and vote for candidates who support abortion, moral relativism, and government dependence.
Occupy Anarchists in San Fran Post Video of Themselves Smashing Windows & Causing Mass Destruction ~ Oh look! Just like the Tea Party – NOT!
And of course it had to be San Francisco [April 30th]. Worst part is that the cops did basically nothing. Only one person wound up being arrested. Unbelievable.
So much for the rule of law. Guess now in SF it’s just let the anarchists win.
Will The War On Coal Unplug Obama In November? ~ Hopefully. Polls show him slipping in top coal-producing states. But even if we can get Barack out of the White House we’ll still have to do battle with the EPA – before we’re all living in caves: EPA holds 12-hour hearings with environmentalists to slow coal production
‘Political correctness’ is totalitarian mind control ~ At its core… political correctness is nothing more nor less than the unjust intimidation of others into thinking and speaking a certain way.
But then you already figured that out. Good article though, by David Kupelian (author of “How Evil Works,” which I highly recommend). It’s all too easy to fall into the Orwellian trap of political correctness. Kupelian raises awareness, explaining the Lefts’ tactics, so mind-manipulation is more easily recognizable and avoided.
It is now illegal to collect rain water! ~ Video from KSL-TV, Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a few months old, but a stunning example of ever-expanding big government control.
Israeli archaeologists find earliest evidence of Bethlehem’s existence in Jerusalem dig ~
A piece of clay was found during archaeological excavations at the City of David, in Jerusalem, bearing the name of the city of Bethlehem in ancient Hebrew script. The piece of clay dates back to the First Temple period (1006 – 586 BCE), making it the first tangible evidence of existence of the city of Bethlehem in ancient times.
For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
~ Luke 2:11 ~
