Lockheed Martin opts to flip us off as well.

Desperate for reelection, the Obama administration will apparently stop at nothing. We’ve already seen the way they employ extra-legal means to achieve their goals (ignoring DOMA, granting amnesty/refusing to enforce immigration laws, reversing welfare-to-work).
But now they’re even directing others to break the law.
Defense contractors have been told by the Labor Department to specifically not comply with the WARN Act, which requires employers to provide employees with 60 days notice of pending layoffs.
Why the arbitrary directive? The irrefutable news of more lost jobs – a direct result of budget cuts in defense – coming right before the November election, might actually make Obama supporters rethink their vote.
Michelle Malkin is reporting on the story that the network news will diligently ignore: Obama administration to contractors: Hold off announcing layoffs until after the election and taxpayers will cover your fines and costs ~
Defense contractor layoffs due to sequestration cuts are looming January 2, 2013. This means that federal law will require those companies to issue thousands of “you’re out of a job” notices mere days before the November election. If you’re the Obama administration this makes you more nervous than watching Joe Biden start to talk about Dunkin’ Donuts. What to do? Simple — ask the contractors to ignore the law and promise them that taxpayers will cover possible fines and extra costs associated with any subsequent non-compliance judgments.
The Hill had this:
The Obama administration issued new guidance intended for defense contractors Friday (Sept. 28th) afternoon, reiterating the administration’s position that the companies should not be issuing layoff notices over sequestration.
The Labor Department issued guidance in July saying it would be “inappropriate” for contractors to issue notices of potential layoffs tied to sequestration cuts. But a few contractors, most notably Lockheed Martin, said they still were considering whether to issue the notices — which would be sent out just days before the November election…
…The fight over WARN Act notices began in June when Lockheed Martin CEO Bob Stevens said his company might send the notices to all 123,000 of its employees.
Yeah, the November 1st announcement of 123,000 more unemployed Americans would definitely be bad timing for Obama. So let’s not bother the electorate with a little thing like the troubling truth of more government-created job losses right before an election.
Even better, let’s use tax-payer dollars to flout the law and fund the deception.
Purely political. Purely pathetic. Purely tyrannical.
No wonder Obama’s got Venezuelan autocrat Hugo Chavez’ endorsement.
