It’s been a few months since we visited the Green Energy Graveyard, but fear not – there’s still plenty of space for expansion ~
As Heritage reported a few weeks ago: Obama Administration Plans to Spend $150 Million for Green Energy Projects (Because It’s Worked So Well Before)
And it’s all so very cost-effective.
For instance, as the Institute for Energy Research reported, the Department of Energy’s website just updated their list of loan guarantee projects. After investing more than $26 billion in the renewable energy sector over the last four years, the number of permanent jobs created is 2298. Net cost to we-the-taxpayers – drumroll please… ➡ $11.45 million per job!
Clearly, in terms of “bang for the buck,” government programs that coddle renewable energy are losers. In terms of jobs, the losers are the American workers who would otherwise be gainfully employed but for the tremendous waste of taxpayer dollars on the administration’s obsession with “green energy.” As the economy continues to suffer and dollars for federal programs get harder to come by, it is getting increasingly difficult to defend a program that costs so much and produces so little.
This isn’t wealth redistribution – it’s wealth destruction.
