Last night I attended a local tea party event featuring that honorary patriot from New Zealand, Trevor Loudon. He’s currently on a tour promoting his latest book, “The Enemies Within,” and discussing the depths to which socialists, communists and other fellow travelers have infested all levels of our government with their anti-American ideology. Suffice it to say, we’ve got our work cut out for us.
And although it seems hopeless at times, the battle to restore our Constitutional Republic goes on.
Loundon offered some strategic advice for the 2016 election, suggesting that we start promoting a full line-up of conservatives, not just the presidential nominee…
Trevor Loudon’s Tea Party 2016 Dream Team:
Vice President: Col. Allen West
Attorney General: Mark Levin
Cabinet ~
• Secretary of the Treasury: Sen. Rand Paul
• Secretary of State: John Bolton
• Secretary of Energy: Sarah Palin
• Secretary Health & Human Services: Dr. Ben Carson
• Secretary of Education: David Barton
Ambassador to U.N.: “NONE” (this one got the most applause!)
While not mincing words over the insidious efforts by the Leftists to dismantle our freedoms, Loudon encouraged us to stay engaged, reminding us of Tea Party successes, especially the 2010 election seismic shift. He’s up-beat about the chances of the 2nd American Revolution.
Well whaddya know? Just just 24 hours later… with a couple state primary election results in… Loudon’s optimistic words seem seriously prophetic! First was an encouraging victory for South Carolina’s Tim Scott: No Racists Here! Tim Scott Wins Primary with 90% of the Vote.
Scott was appointed to his senate seat by Gov. Nikki Haley, replacing the retiring Jim DeMint ~
If he wins his general election in November, Scott would become the first elected black Senator in South Carolina history. That’s quite a great achievement for his resume!
And second, a HUGE win in Virginia against the establishment Republicans!
In shocking upset David Brat defeats House Majority Leader Eric Cantor ~
RICHMOND, Va. — A political earthquake Tuesday night after polling stations closed for Virginia’s primary elections.
The No. 2 Republican in the House, Eric Cantor, lost his primary to a college professor and political neophyte. Cantor, House Majority Leader, was running for an eighth term in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District, against Tea-Party backed economics professor David Brat.
And so, my fellow conservatives, in the words of the immortal Winston Churchill ~
“Never, never, never, never–in nothing, great or small, large or petty–never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trevor Loundon signed my copy of “The Enemies Within” with the heartening message: “Keep the Faith!” And so we must!
