The dog ate Lois Lerner’s emails

The lies coming from the O’Ministration are getting so preposterous you just don’t know whether to laugh or cry anymore. What’s really pathetic is that they have so little respect for the American people, and so much confidence in the media’s continued compliance, that they no longer bother even trying to sound plausible.

The IRS targeting of conservatives is much worse than anything Nixon & Co. did. Yet each new response from the White House about the ongoing scandal strains credulity more than the last. And the mainstream media simply nods and moves on to the next distraction.

Lois Lerner’s lost emails are just the latest scam we’re supposed to fall for. As if the IRS – who would demand 20 years worth of detailed tax return information from YOU if you were ever audited (no excuses!) – just happened to lose the exact emails that could incriminate Lerner, and who knows who else in the administration.

Of course the real truth about the IRS targeting, as Investor’s Business Daily points out, is that it’s a deliberate obstruction of justice; Lost Lerner Emails Mirror Nixon’s 18 1/2 Minute Gap. In fact…

The entire Obama administration is in contempt of Congress, the American people, the law and the Constitution. As in Watergate, more than a few individuals warrant prosecution and incarceration. But that would have to come from Eric Holder’s Justice Department, an organization shown to be as corrupt as the IRS.

In other words… it ain’t happenin.

… the failure for the IRS to preserve and provide these records to the Committees would evidence either violations of numerous records retention statutes and regulations or obstruction of Congress.

In light of the disappeared emails, Mitchell (the attorney for True the Vote, one of the groups illegally targeted by the IRS) has several questions for the agency. It might be fun to watch them squirm their way out of this one.
