A year ago President Obama was ready to join up with Syrian rebels in opposition to the Assad regime. And now we know for certain that those very same rebels were merely a pre-ISIS group of Islamists.

 
Ben Barrack, writing at Shoebat.com, calls out the useful idiots in our elite political class who were all for throwing in with pre-ISIS at the time ~

… exactly one year ago on August 27, 2013, a slew of pseudo-intellectuals wanted Assad gone and signed a letter to Obama demanding that very thing. The rise of ISIS should be the equivalent of a nuclear torpedo to the credibility of each one of these supposedly enlightened experts.

 
Pro-jihadist support crossed party lines but many were notable RINOs and their apologists: Sen. John McCain, Karl Rove, Bill Kristol, former Senator Joe Lieberman and Clifford May (Foundation for Defense of Democracies-FDD).

Assad has always been the lesser of two – or more – evils. Not exactly a boy scout, at least he wasn’t threatening to exterminate the Christian minority; was in fact, an advocate for religious tolerance in Syria. Had Obama succeeded with his anti-Assad campaign last year, the United States would have been formally assisting an early form of the Nazi-like ISIS forces.

 
So now the president tells us he doesn’t have a strategy to stop these barbarians from achieving their goal of establishing a world-wide caliphate. Odd, because just last year Barack Hussein Obama definitely had one. His “strategy” in 2013 was to actively support the Islamist cause in Syria!
