As CBN News reported; “The AP’s initial headline read, “Israeli Police Shoot Man in East Jerusalem” (?!) Conveniently forgetting to mention that the cops were responding to a terror attack!

A baby girl was killed and eight people were injured Wednesday, after a terrorist hit them with his car outside the Givat Hatachmoshet (Ammunition Hill) Light Rail stop.
“A private car hit passengers from the light rail near the police national headquarters. The car’s driver (who coincidentally turned out to be a member of Hamas!) attempted to escape and was shot, apparently by a police officer from the Jerusalem district,” police spokeswoman Luba Samri said in a statement.
Several accounts of this attack indicated that the baby was actually an American citizen. And yet in the initial report issued by our own consulate in Israel, it was outrageously referred to as a ‘traffic incident’ ~
Hours after a Palestinian terrorist drove his car into a crowd waiting at a light rail station in Jerusalem, the US consulate in the city issued a memo referring to the attack as a “traffic incident”.
A three-month-old baby was killed and seven other people were wounded when Abdel Rahman a-Shaludi drove his car across incoming traffic to strike the people waiting at the station. The baby girl, Chaya Zissel Braun, had American citizenship.
The memo was sent to employees of the American consulate, which is based in East Jerusalem. It asks staff to report “any emergency.” […]
Consulate officials said the statement had not intended to downplay the severity of the incident, and that its authors wanted to focus the employees’ attention and give warning of the protests.
So what we – the average American – sees as another heart-wrenching * terrorist attack, the Left sees as just another routine traffic alert. Apparently nothing warrants the truth with progressives anymore, not even innocent human life.

*Shimon Helperin, the infant’s grandfather, told Arutz Sheva that the Braun family – which had been waiting for a child for years – had been returning from prayers at the Western Wall (Kotel) when they were struck by the terrorist. Helperin and his wife had arrived in Israel specifically to meet their grandchild on Wednesday and was forced to go immediately to the hospital, instead.
