NYC Passes Bill To Allow Transgender People To Change Sex On Birth Certificate Without Surgery 😯
 
Although I can’t find any definitive confirmation, after the city council approved the measure on Monday, Mayor Bill de Blasio (Commissar of Clownville might be more appropriate) was expected to sign it into law yesterday. So now you can get your gender switched on your birth certificate without actually having your er, “equipment” altered ~

The policy will require a licensed health care provider to state under oath that “based on contemporary expert standards,” according to the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund (TLDEF) press release, “an individual’s true sex is not accurately recorded on their current birth certificate.”

 
According to the bill’s sponsor, City Council Member Corey Johnson, the new legislation is…

… “the most progressive in the country. Gender won’t be about your physicality,” he said. “It won’t be about your body. It’s about how you identify.” […]

 
Yes. Let’s just go with feelings. If I feel like I’m the Easter Bunny – I am!
 
Before this sanity-challenged measure was passed, it apparently just wasn’t fair, as Carrie Davis, chief programs and policy officer at the Lesbian, Gay Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, told the New York Daily News, that ~

“People can be turned down from jobs, accused of fraud, harassed and attacked if the gender on a birth certificate does not match the gender with which the person identifies.”

(In other words – if you’re lying about your gender. Gasp!)

 
Well, we can’t have that. So we’ll just suspend reality and pretend someone was born female instead of male. Or vice-versa. Because feelings now trump medical fact.

 
And let’s not question the whole gender-bender phenomenon either. Even though there appears to be Trouble In Transtopia.
 
Actually, I’m sorry to be flip, because this really is a damn shame. This article, from Stella Morabito at the Federalist, explains the growing rumblings of regret within the transsexual community, quoting several who have had second thoughts (now that it’s too late ) ~

. . . transsexualism was invented by psychiatrists. . . .You fundamentally can’t change sex … the surgery doesn’t alter you genetically. It’s genital mutilation.” […]
 
I am grieving at how I have mutilated my body. . . . In the case of my surgeon, he seemed all too happy to cut off my testicles, as soon as he had a couple of glowing letters from my doctor and former therapist, saying what a nice lady I had become, how well I had ‘assimilated’ etc. F**in crazy. If there was a drug that I could have taken that would have reduced the pressure, I would have been better off staying the way I was—a totally intact person. I know deep down that I’m a second-class woman ~ (This last is from Rene Richards, the first person to go through sex-change surgery)

 
More troubling, rather than get the truth out, many trannies are trying to silence any dissention in the ranks. Which is really sad. Especially when you consider that ~

A Swedish study from 2003 found that post-operative mortality and suicide rates for transsexuals are many times higher than the general population.
