• “Relentlessly manipulative WWII-era drama”
• “Decent message… suffocated beneath a hokey premise and hopelessly square execution”
• “A drearily sincere movie about faith and tolerance”
• “Melodramatic molasses”
That’s just a sampling of the dismissive reviews of “Little Boy,” the new film from award-winning writer and director Alejandro Monteverde. The Tinsel Town groupies are just annoyed because the movie doesn’t feature any soft porn, sophomoric humor, vulgar language or nihilism. In fact it’s an awful lot like the stuff Disney used to produce – before cultural erosion set in.
“Little Boy” is the story of Pepper, a young boy whose father is called up to serve in World War II ~
Now with his dad in real danger, Little Boy thinks he can bring him home if only he believes strongly enough. During Mass, he hears Father Crispin (Eduardo Verastegui) quote Matthew 17:20 and tell the congregation that if they have faith the size of a mustard seed, they can move mountains.
The lesson that he learns in the story that follows is one faith, mercy and trust in God.Source: Catholic News Agency

Hollywood has little regard for any messages involving God and genuine faith these days. In fact, the reviews I encountered seemed to be desperately trying to discredit not just the movie, but Christianity itself.
•”Cloying and callous WWII-era parable about how faith can move mountains, overcome prejudice, and even rob death of its sting“
Wow. Sounds horrible doesn’t it?
Considering what passes for progressive “morality” these days – if the Left is trashing it, it’s gotta be good old-fashioned wholesome entertainment. I’m planning to see it soon, just to spite them
