Some friends and I joined tens of thousands of other pro-lifers across the country yesterday morning for the nationwide rally against Planned Parenthood and their sale of baby parts. It was a beautiful day for a protest – and prayers ~
We were on Woodward Avenue in Ferndale, MI, which is a main thoroughfare just north of Detroit city limits. Right across the street was the local PP clinic.
There were about 250 of us in the pro-life crowd. The opposition, although quite vocal at times, never included more than a dozen or two ~
The pro-aborts did have some unique signs ~
Charming eh? [We prayed for them]
There was scant local coverage of the protest. CBS news was fairly objective in its brief report ~ Protests Against Planned Parenthood Held Nationwide To ‘Educate Americans About What Abortion Actually Does’. But this Oakland Press story is pretty lop-sided ~ Activists face off with signs for, against Planned Parenthood in Ferndale ~
The protest was originally organized by people angry at Planned Parenthood in light of the recent online videos alleging the organization is involved in selling fetal tissues.
Planned Parenthood has rejected the allegations in a statement calling them false.
Hey @AftabBorka ~ They HAVE been selling “fetal tissue.” The videos prove the truth. In calling the “allegations” false, Planned Parenthood is lying.
(Just further evidence that progressive media and pro-aborts are occupying the same reality-free zone.)
The Oakland Press coverage featured no photos of the pro-life crowd, even though we out-numbered the other side 10 to 1 ~
