Like a festering wound, the longer ObamaCare goes untreated the worse it gets. None of the propaganda the progressives parroted to get the Affordable Care Act passed has turned out to be true. None. In fact it’s been just the opposite; you couldn’t keep your doctor or your insurance company no matter how much you liked them, and premiums are increasingly unaffordable ~

Betsey McCaughey, who was sounding the alarm on socialized medicine long before Washington stuffed it down our throats, has been keeping tabs on the ACA’s inevitable deterioration. The way she sees it ObamaCare is entering its dreaded ‘death spiral.’
 
What’s happening is exactly what most rational critics of the ACA predicted ~

The Obama administration is having trouble selling insurance plans to healthy people. That’s a big problem: When the young and healthy don’t enroll, premiums have to be hiked to cover the costs of older, sicker people, discouraging even more young people from signing up.
 
Last Thursday, the administration predicted enrollment for 2016 will be less than half what the Congressional Budget Office predicted in March.
 
Despite subsidies to help with premiums and out-of-pocket costs, most of the uninsured who are eligible for ObamaCare are saying “no thanks.” Only one in seven is expected to sign up. That’s despite a hefty increase in the financial penalty next year for not having insurance.

 

So it’s no wonder health insurance plans are imploding. Michelle Malkin is beyond frustrated in Colorado ~ Obama lied, my health plan died…twice! ~

“Progressives” sneered at millions of us who received the first round of individual market health plan death notices. Mother Jones called it the “phony canceled health insurance scandal” when I first reported my 2013 health plan homicide by Obamacare.
 
But it’s real, it sucks, and we know we are not alone among the estimated 22 million other Americans who purchase health insurance directly on the ever-shrinking individual market.

And, as McCaughey continues ~

Bad enough that healthy people aren’t buying. Worse is that the administration is spending billions of your tax dollars covering up the problem, paying insurers to keep offering the plans, even though they’re losing their shirts. But facts are facts — and there’s no hiding these.

 
ObamaCare is now facing life-threatening infections. But Washington and our ruling class simply don’t care that gangrene has set in. Somehow they’ll always have their gold-plated medical services. And we-the-rubes will be stuck with soviet-style “healthcare.”

Doctors are having a hard time finding referrals to specialists for their patients because ObamaCare pays them less than cost. Specialists do take a few ObamaCare referrals; if they don’t, they don’t get paid anything for patients they do see in the hospital. A physician tried to get a second opinion for an infectious disease specialist for his patient and nobody agreed to take him within a 25-mile radius. In his opinion, “ACA is not sustainable; it is a complete sham from start to finish.”
