Nonie Darwish grew up in the Arab world, was raised in Gaza and Egypt as a Muslim. In the 1950’s her father ran the fedayeen guerilla operations in Gaza; their sole mission was to destroy Israel. When Nonie was eight he was assassinated by the Israel Defense Forces ~
“I learned that hate, vengeance and retaliation are important values to protect Islam and Arab honor,” Nonie says, recalling her education as a young girl. “Self-criticism or questioning Arab teachings and leadership was forbidden and could only bring shame, dishonor and violence open those who dared try. Peace was never an option and never mentioned as a virtue.” A line from a popular song children sang at recess was, “Arabs are our friends and Jews our dogs.”
After moving to America in 1978, Nonie increasingly began to realize the extent and impact of the indoctrination of her formative years in the Middle East, which led to her eventual rejection of Islam: ‘Now They Call Me Infidel.”
Darwish has spent the last two decades writing and speaking out against the culturally-corrosive impact of Islam, telling the truth about Jihad and Islamic terrorism.
“Hate speech cannot only be blamed on schools, since it starts and is spoon-fed to Arab children from birth and continues throughout life – inside the family, in mosques, radio, TV, cartoons and newspapers,” Nonie says. “The social pressure for hatred and anti-Semitism results in a mob mentality that is hard to escape. That is the mechanism Muslim society uses to guarantee a constant flow of a Muslim army ready for jihad.”
In her recent video Darwish wants to know why Obama won’t tell the truth about Islam. For instance ~
• If Islam is a “religion of peace” why are apostates (those who leave the faith) condemned to death?
• Egypt (officially the “Arab Republic of Egypt” so they’re certainly in a position to know -) condemns the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. Obama refuses to. Why?
• “The idea that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism is a joke.” In other words, why is Obama lying? ~
