Whose side is Obama really on here? Clearly not America’s.
 
 
You probably missed the latest bad news about the infamous Iranian deal last week – most of the MSM media sure did. Daniel Horowitz at Conservative Review didn’t ~

Just a few days after Iran committed an act of war and seized a U.S. navy boat and its crew, the administration announced a settlement in which they will pay Iran $1.7 billion for assets our government froze in 1979 when the mad mullahs conquered Iran. Thus, in addition to the $150 billion in assets granted to Iran pursuant to the terms of the nuclear deal, the regime is now squeezing every penny from the original sanctions as far back as 36 years ago.

 
Guess the mainstream news folks just don’t want to remind us that giving billions of dollars to the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism sounds a whole lot like treason.
 

[As an aside, I heard some talk-radio host (honestly can’t recall which one or I’d provide attribution) remind us that 9-11 only cost Al-Qaeda around $400,000. Imagine the bang they can get for hundreds of billions of bucks!]

Futhermore,

… there is the issue of the “swap” of five American hostages for seven Iranian criminals held in U.S. prisons and the removal of 14 other Iranian criminal and terrorists from the INTERPOL wanted list.
As objectionable as this sounds, President Obama and Secretary Kerry failed to mention that Oman paid Iran $500,000 ransom each for the release of the Americans and that several were brutally mistreated while incarcerated. At least two other innocent Americans plus a U.S. green card holder are still being by Iran.

Essentially, as Horowitz sees it, Obama has formed an alliance with Iran against his own country ~

He is allowing them to engage in one act of war after another without any commensurate response so that they can use each event to extract more concessions

 
For example ~

• Iran is threatening Saudi Arabia by backing a Shiite insurgency in Yemen. Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states broke off diplomatic relations with Iran this month after the Saudi embassy and a consulate in Iran were ransacked.
• Iran tested ballistic missiles in October and November even though President Obama and Secretary Kerry said last July that under the deal Tehran would abide by U.N. Security Council resolutions for eight years calling on it to halt its missile program.
• Iran fired rockets last month near a U.S. aircraft carrier.
• Iran detained and humiliated 10 U.S. Navy sailors last week.

 
At the same time, how many Americans understand that Iran gets to keep its nuclear infrastructure under this disastrous deal and will be allowed to expand it? I’m sure not many, thanks to the MSM.
 
Instead of punishing the Iranian regime for sponsoring Islamic terrorism and facilitating the deaths of thousands, Obama rewards them. Reality be damned ~

• When Iranian officials refused to give up their uranium enrichment program, the U.S. said they could keep it.
• When Iran balked on including restrictions on ballistic missile tests in the agreement, they were removed.
• To get around Tehran’s refusal to answer questions about its past nuclear weapons work, this issue was moved into a secret side deal between the IAEA and Iran.
• The Obama administration also took Iran’s sponsorship of terror and its meddling in the Middle East off the table. The deal drops U.N. and EU sanctions on Iranian terrorist individuals and entities.
• Even worse, the U.S. encouraged Iran to play a more active role in Iraq which is driving tensions between the Shiite government and Iraqi Sunnis.

 
Horowitz suggests several actions that the GOP-controlled Congress can take to undermine this disastrous deal – if they’re serious about foiling Obama’s treachery that is ~

• Republicans should immediately pass legislation being pushed by Ted Cruz and Rep. Mark Meadows to shut down all Palestine Liberation Organization offices in our country and suspend the $500 million in annual aid to Iran’s proxy.
• Congress must refuse to confirm any more judicial nominees until Obama comes clean on all his side agreements with Iran and abides by the terms of his own deal
• Republicans should leverage executive nominees against Obama’s Iran policy.
• We need answers about the terrible morale in the Army as well as the Obama administration’s social engineering of the military, which includes integrating women in direct ground combat, mixed boot camps, and the transgender agenda. Confirming nominees to serve in positions where Obama is perpetrating lawless or harmful transformations would represent yet another betrayal by Senate Republicans.
• Congress should use must-pass bills, such as the upcoming Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization bill to shut down Obama’s Iran deal.

 
Essentially, it comes down to this: Do the Republicans take their oaths to the American people seriously enough to stop Obama from betraying the country and our national security? Or are they willing to let this treason stand?
