WISHING YOU A BLESSED EASTER!
Viernes Santo: Just another Friday in “Castrogonia” ~ Carlos Eire at Babalú Blog compares the the “insanity of the cross” with the “Marxist utopia” of Cuba. Replacing Christianity with communism results in misery and despair for all… except the elites of course.
Wherein I Comment On “Electoral Politics” – It’s Professional Wrestling Without the Wrestling ~ I’ve been thinking that a yuuuge chunk Trump’s supporters are WWF fans. Ann Barnhardt takes it a big step further and asserts that the entire political scene has turned into a professional wrestling production ~
You all need to understand that the Professional Wrestling model that I just described is precisely what this Presidential campaign crap is. Why don’t I comment on it? Because it is fake, scripted and choreographed. I’d sooner write commentary and analysis on Professional Wrestling. …
Trump and Clinton are almost certainly in cahoots and wrote this script long ago, I suspect. Trump is going to make a cool couple of billion off of this, and probably doesn’t want anything to do with playing the role of “POTUS” […]
And, for those of you who actually believe that Trump is going to actually build a wall across the border, or do ANYTHING that he is talking about, I just don’t know what to say. The guy is a total hack who has used Bankruptcy as a tool, and would have made more money if he had taken his nine-figure inheritance and plowed it into an S&P Index fund and never touched it. He is a showman and a carney.
(BTW, she doesn’t go any easier on Cruz)
Although definitely over the top, it’s a pretty good rant

Former Pro-Trump Operative Disavows GOP Frontrunner ~ And this was before the Cruz National Enquirer kerfuffle ~
(Stephanie Cegielski, former spokeswoman for the pro-Trump Make America Great Again PAC) said she initially saw Trump as a positive political force, but that his statements and policy positions, or lack thereof, convinced her that he is unfit to be commander in chief.
“I am glad he has brought more people to the political process but I question his ability to be the leader of this country,” she said.[…]
Asked whether any of Trump’s specific statements or policy positions pushed her over the edge, Cegielski suggested that her concerns were more broad. “As a communications person I am a strong advocate for sticking to your message,” she said. “The problem with his message is that it is all about his poll numbers, the losers of the world and his ability to do everything great.”
The Mind of the Left From an Insider; What I witnessed inside a faith of lies — and what it took to leave ~ Enlightening – and a rather unsettling look at red-diaper Leftism.
Lifestyles of the rich and elected; State pols live high with campaign funds ~ Bruce Rushton examines the spendthrift ways of Illinois politicians (Guess the party affiliation…). Playing games with campaign dollars ~
“The issue is, when spending starts to get into something that is either a perk, allowing you to live a better lifestyle than you would have been able to live otherwise, or something that could clearly be perceived as a perk, the question becomes, is your loyalty to your contributors or to your constituents?”
An entitled ruling class livin’ high on the hog; behavior that’s certainly not exclusive to the Land of Lincoln, or Democrats for that matter.
“Madonna’s on-stage sexual abuse of minor girl exposes our culture’s ills” ~ You were hoping as Madonna aged she’d clean up her act a bit? Nope. She gets raunchier with each passing year ~
During a concert in Australia, Madonna pulled down a 17-year-old girl’s top, revealing her breast to a crowd of thousands – and the girl and her mother promptly thanked the singer. That one moment best illustrates everything that’s wrong with modern pop culture, a leading pro-life advocate tells LifeSiteNews.
Krauthammer: Obama Is On An ‘Ideological Holiday Trip In Cuba While The World Burns’ ~ Charles Krauthammer spoke with Bret Baier on Fox Tuesday evening after the Brussels bombings ~
“Obama gave the terror bombing 51 seconds of his speech today in Havana. I thought the whole story of his presidency and its foreign policy was seen in the split screen. On one side you had the video footage of the attack in Belgium. This is the real world. And on the other side was Obama in a fantasy world he inhabits where Cuba is of some geopolitical significance in his mind but none in the real world.”
The Decline of the West ~ As our worldviews have devolved, so have our societies. Bad philosophies might sound great initially, but they do so much damage; rendering their adherents loveless, hopeless, meaningless ~
Post-modern man is authentic when he is true to himself, not to reality. To live authentically means living in accord with what you feel/believe, whether or not what you feel/believe is true by any objective standard. Everyone is entitled to his own truth, even when everyone’s truth can’t possibly be true. When contradictory truths collide, as they must, the outcome is determined by power, not by reason. Truth is not discovered; it is imposed. By his willingness to ignore reality post-modern man shows himself to be foolish … and dangerous.
New Believer in Saudi Arabia Lives a Dangerous Faith ~ Very inspiring account of a former Muslim who’s now following Jesus Christ; the Holy Spirit at work in the Middle East
