Random links of interest, concern or curiosity from the past week or so, that deserve at least a SHORT mention:
McKibben-Steyer Rally in Los Angeles Exposes True Motives Behind Anti-Fossil Fuel Activism ~ That’s right. Many of those participating in the rally last weekend were exhibiting totalitarian tendencies ~
…(attacking) the very social and economic underpinnings of liberal democracy […]
There were a large number of red signs featuring Communist-inspired clenched fists calling for the government to seize the means of production […]
(T)he protesters are part of a movement so extreme that it appears to care more about “seizing” private property and bringing down our economy than it cares about making progress on climate change by reducing carbon emissions.
Which only serves to remind us that “Green” absolutely is the new “Red.”
Trump’s Vince Foster attack backed by new evidence ~ Vince Foster’s “suicide” has always been extremely suspect (How many people trying to kill themselves shoot twice?). But you can bet we’ll never know the truth on this one.
EPA Just Declared War On Millions of Car Owners ~ A triple whammy ~
The EPA’s proposal to increase the amount of ethanol that must be blended into gasoline is a trifecta of regulatory abuse. It will do nothing for the environment, it will do nothing for energy security, and it could wreck millions of car engines.
When will they ever face the truth about ethanol? (Probably never, now that Cruz is out of the race. He was the only one willing to cut back on subsidies.)
The Jihad on Christian Church Tents ~ Coexistance is not exactly possible with these psychotic jihadis ~
As usual, this chain of events — Christian minorities having their churches closed and being forced to meet in tents, only to be persecuted again by police or mobs — is not an “aberration” limited to the experiences of Egypt’s Christians but occurs across the world, wherever Christians live under Muslim rule…
The Left Is Now Targeting Christian Schools In Its Potty Crusades ~ We should probably stop pretending that we still have a First Amendment anymore ~
The Obama administration is investigating a school in Wisconsin for sending home letters telling parents and students that they expect students to live within Christian values while at school. This is a private Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod school that serves a tiny group of students—from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade they have 147 students and 10 teachers.
3 Ways Conservative Lawmakers Should Fight Obama’s Bathroom Directive ~ Ryan T. Anderson at The Daily Signal offers some suggestions for standing up to the bathroom lunacy – but do we have anyone in Congress willing to do that? Doubtful.
Delegitimizing Israel in Our Classrooms (Via New York Times propaganda) ~ A recent article an the NYT publication for high school students purported to explain, “How the Middle East Got that Way” ~
The author portrays the Arabs as victims of Western domination, legitimizing their 1948 rejection of a Jewish state and their subsequent war against newly declared Israel.
Neither the article nor the teacher’s guide or handouts mention the 3,000-year historical connection of the Jews to the area, the continuous Jewish presence in this land, the Jewish immigration to their historic homeland in the late 19th and early 20th century or the promise made to the Jews for a national homeland in Palestine in the 1917 Balfour Declaration.
Also lacking is information about the 1922 League of Nations’ Mandate for Palestine to create a Jewish national home in today’s Israel, the “West Bank” and Sinai and the UN’s assumption of that international legal commitment.
History rewritten by deceitful Leftists.
MPs warn voters being ‘conned’ as Brussels keeps plans for EU army secret until after referendum ~ Shhhh! Don’t tell the sheeple before the Brexit vote ~
Andrew Bridgen, the Tory MP for North West Leicestershire, said: “This is the way the EU operates. The people were deceived about the aims of the EU in 1975 and they’re being deceived again today. For the security of our country we must vote to leave the EU.
“This blows out of the water the Prime Minister’s claim that we’re being excluded from ever closer union. Voters are being hoodwinked once again.”
The Obnoxious Fallacy of Mandated Prosperity ~ Last week the O’Ministration arbitrarily doubled (from $23,660 to $47,476) the salary range within which employees must be paid time-and-a-half overtime. If the goal was to slow the sluggish economy even more it was a great move ~
The Obama fallacy is that somehow there is excess money in the affected businesses that can be simply shifted to cover his mandated higher labor costs. But businesses and markets do not work that way – profits must be continually regenerated in dynamic competition; they do not lie automatically available.
More evidence that we’re losing our collective grasp on reality ~
• Transgender Teacher Gets $60k After Co-Workers Won’t Call Her ‘They’
• ‘EcoSexual’ students at SMC ‘marry the ocean’ ~ One attendee of the event—who identified herself only as “Serenity”—spoke about the importance of gaining consent from the earth before proceeding with a physical relationship.
We used to get these people help… now we just indulge their delusions
What Happens When You Treat People With the Respect of Being Created In God’s Image ~ A wonderful little put-a-big-smile-on-your-face story about making a difference in the lives of others.
