Patriot Week Kick-off at Historic Fort Wayne

Renewing the Spirit of America

What we’re doing this weekend…
Patriot Week is a grassroots effort begun in 2009 by Judge Michael Warren (Oakland County, MI Circuit Court) and his daughter, Leah, with the purpose of invigorating our appreciation and understanding of America’s spirit.

Anchored by the key dates of September 11 (the anniversary of the terrorists attacks) and September 17 (Constitution Day, the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution by our Founding Fathers), the Schedule for each day (of Patriot Week) has a separate focus.

On Sunday, September 11th, from 1-5 PM, they’re sponsoring “Patriot Palooza”
at Historic Ft. Wayne in Detroit:

The day will feature a tribute to first responders, historical re-enactors, live cannons, student led presentations, family friendly activities, student led presentations, music, and several dignitaries.

Open to the public – Ages 0-99
Admission: free / $5 for secured parking

I really encourage you to attend ~ sounds like a great way to commemorate 9-11!
