Ever since Barack Obama instituted his radical social makeover of the armed services, conservatives in both Congress and the military have been intent on undoing the damage. Yesterday’s announcement from President Trump is a good start ~
“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you.”
Not only did the Obama administration repeal the Clinton-era “Don’t ask; don’t tell” policy – allowing homosexuals to serve openly in the military, last year they decreed that transgendered individuals were welcome as well. And the taxpayers – who had absolutely no say in the matter by the way(!) – get to cough up roughly $3.7 billion over the next 10 years for gender reassignment surgery and related expenses.
Active military members weren’t asked for their input before the fact either ~
A Military Times/Institute for Veterans and Military Families poll of 1,664 active-duty troops conducted on a voluntary and confidential basis as President Barack Obama’s term was coming to an end last December found significantly more respondents believed it to be hurtful than helpful […]
On balance (four-to-three in favor), they view the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” as a good thing (Sure they do, they’ve had the PC propaganda shoved down their throats for the last ten years), but they frown upon mixed-gender combat units (two-to-one against) and transgender service members (more than three-to-one against).
More specifically, when asked how the policy allowing transgender individuals to serve openly “affected military readiness,” 41 percent said it “hurt” while 12 just percent said it “helped.”
They’re certainly right about the negative impact on military readiness – how could it possibly not be?! The United States employs a standing military to defend the country, fight wars and kill the enemy. It wasn’t created to act as an incubator for social experimentation.
Furthermore, service is a privilege, not a right. And there are numerous medical conditions that may prevent individuals from enlisting – including psychiatric disorders.
Here’s what a courageously outspoken former MTF (male to female) transgender has to say on the subject ~
I think (Trump) made the right decision—and as someone who lived as trans-female for several years, I should know.
When I discovered Congress voted earlier this month to not block funding for transgender-related hormone therapies and sex change surgeries, I wondered if it considered how devastating this will be to the fitness, readiness, and morale of our combat-ready troops.
Paying for transition-related surgeries for military service members and their families is beyond comprehensible.
Perhaps they have forgotten that our military was forged to be the world’s strongest fighting force, not a government-funded, politically correct, medical sex change clinic for people with gender dysphoria […]
Over 60 percent of this diverse population suffer from co-existing mental disorders. Consider Bradley Manning (now Chelsea Manning), a former Army soldier who was so psychologically and emotionally unbalanced that he stole confidential documents from the military and forwarded them to WikiLeaks.
In my view, as a former trans-female who works every day with regretters, allowing the military to pay for sex change surgeries will make a mockery of the U.S. military.
[Walt Heyer’s article should be required reading for all progressives who try to deny the reality of gender dysphoria.]
Unfortunately, Barack Hussein Obama was so successful at transforming the United States military that many of the brass no longer gives a damn about readiness or effectiveness – or even the welfare of their own troops. So now we’re hearing “Not so fast” from Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff ~
In a memo to all military service chiefs, commanders and enlisted military leaders (Dunford) said “there will be no modifications” to current policy for now, amid questions about Trump’s announcement on Twitter that the U.S. government will not “accept or allow” transgender people to serve in any capacity in the military.
“I know there are questions about yesterday’s announcement,” Dunford began, adding that nothing would change until the president’s direction has been received by Mattis and Mattis has issued “implementation guidance.”
We know how relentless the left is when it come to pursuing their radical socially disruptive agenda. They’re already throwing the usual hyperbolic fits over Trump’s announcement. For the sake of our troops – and the country – let’s hope this return to sanity is allowed to stand.
I’ll leave you with these wise words from our first Commander-in-Chief (via The Patriot Post) ~
“It is required and expected that exact discipline be observed and
due subordination prevail thro’ the whole Army, as a failure in these
most essential points must necessarily produce extreme hazard, disorder,
and confusions; and end in shameful disappointment and disgrace.”
~ George Washington (1775)

Holdover Transgender Mandate Impedes Efforts to Strengthen Military ~ Before the debate on this issue continues, all Americans should be made aware of the insane trans guidelines that military personnel are expected to comply with ~
For example, an official Transgender Implementation Handbook states that before transition occurs, a person may live a double life called “Real Life Experience.” RLE means that commanding officers must support male personnel wearing uniforms by day and going out in female clothing by night.
The handbook includes nineteen model scenarios, some of which are simply bizarre. Scenario #3 explains what a commander should do when “Marty” announces he is pregnant. And #15 makes it clear that women who have minimal expectations of privacy in close quarters should accept biological men and “gender pretenders” entering women-only facilities such as showers.
In all situations, the handbook recommends consultation with remote “Service Center Coordination Cells” (SCCCs) and “expert” consultants who are committed to full implementation of LGBT law in the military.
As stated in the Memo for the Movement, these mandates were imposed administratively without congressional oversight or approval; they can and should be revoked in the same way.
