Tolerance is the virtue of a man without convictions. ~ G.K.Chesterton ~
Norway regularly shows up on the U.N.’s list of the world’s best places to live. Land of fijords and the Northern Lights, the country is certainly one of the most beautiful places on earth (just search Google Images for “Norway”). And it ranks near the top of any survey that give high marks for such fuzzy-feeling criteria as “human development”, “work-life balance”, “environment” and “life satisfaction.” Happy socialism
Their Viking past – now ancient history – has been replaced by an egalitarian society that embraces the charming notions of mutual respect and tolerance. Crime has typically been very low; it was rated the most peaceful country in the world in a 2007 survey by Global Peace Index. Sounds rather like an Eloi utopia…
But before you chuck it all for a one-way ticket to the land of the Midnight Sun, you should know that things aren’t quite so peaceful lately – at least in the capitol city of Oslo. Seems they have a growing problem with… sexual assaults. Bruce Bawer at Front Page Magazine reports on Oslo’s Epidemic of Rape. And the majority of the perpetrators appear to be… get ready for it… representatives of the Religion of Peace.
Between 2006 and 2010 there were 86 rapes reported in Oslo, a city of some 1,500,000. This may not seem like an “epidemic”, however;
…not so very many years ago, Oslo was virtually a rape-free city…
…And there have already been twice as many rape assaults in the city so far this year as there were in all of 2010.
According to this video; every rape in Oslo the past 5 years, where the rapist could be identified, was committed by a male of non-western background.
(video transcript from May 2011 Oslo Newscast)
This girl was raped by a man of Pakistani heritage.
She is an ethnic Norwegian as are almost all victims who are assaulted and then raped.
“He said, that he had the right to do exactly as he wanted to a woman”
Why? “Because that is how it was in his religion.”
“Women did not have rights or opinions, he was in charge.”
Yep, sounds like the religion of peace to me.
Unfortunately, the naive all-cultures-are equally-worthy philosophy that the country espouses, leaves them ill-prepared to deal with this recent crime wave; law-enforcement is seriously underfunded. The scandalous fact is that Norway, for all its wealth, has chosen not to invest overmuch in law and order. The very idea is simply too reactionary-sounding for the ’68-ers and their heirs in the political and bureaucratic corridors of power. “See no evil…”
As Bawer sums up, until the authorities begin to take the welfare of law-abiding citizens as seriously as they take the welfare of criminal foreigners, the problem will only grow worse. And until Norwegians, and the rest of the west, come to terms with the impossibility of co-existence with radical Islam, this cultural clash of civilizations will rage on.
Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil. ~ Thomas Mann ~

I’m not sure if Norway’s radical Islamic infestation is what caused that homegrown wacko, Anders Behring Breivik, to snap last summer or not. Nothing could possibly justify his horrific actions. But the pseudo-Christian did refer to the murders he committed as “systematical and organized executions of multiculturalist traitors.”
Terrorism must unequivocally be condemned for the cowardly inhuman crime that it is, regardless of the ideology behind it. And ironically, in the case of the Norwegian Terrorist, whatever his twisted motives may have been, he no doubt scored a major victory for his opponents. As Klein Verzet (aka “Fijordman”) points out:
Breivik will find that whatever he intended…
…An agent provocateur seeking to discredit the right-wing conservative sliver of the European political spectrum would have a hard time doing a better job. It is the perfect excuse to persecute and silence opposing voices… We’re heading for dark days.
