U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was in Washington D.C. last Saturday, beating the global warming drum in advance of today’s ode to the earth. Never mind that the whole premise of human-caused global warming is a farce, the moon-man is calling for action on the $100 billion climate fund ~

More than five years after President Obama and other leaders agreed on a 2020 goal of raising $100 billion each year from public and private sources to help developing countries deal with climate change […]

“This was a commitment which was made in 2009 during the Copenhagen climate change summit meeting. We have only mobilized $10 billion as an initial capitalization of this Green Climate Fund. I would really hope that there will be a trajectory, a path, which will be shown to the member-states.”

 
Apparently the first-world nations aren’t forking over the cash fast enough.

“Climate change is the defining issue of our times,” he told a conference hosted by Bloomberg New Energy Finance last week. “It is also an enormous economic opportunity*.”

It is that. An enormous economic opportunity* – for the United Nations to redistribute wealth on a global basis.

At the pre-Earth Day concert on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on Saturday night, Ban called on concert-goers to raise their voices in support.
 
“I want to hear from you,” he told the crowd. “It’s our last chance to slow global warming.”

Oh no! Sound the alarm!

Climate alarmism has been debunked by any number of credible writers and scientists. Larry Bell wrote an excellent piece in Forbes a couple years ago ~

… a great many very informed scientists believe that any human contributions to that influence are negligible, undetectable and thereby grossly exaggerated by alarmists, while far more important natural climate drivers (both for warming and cooling), are virtually ignored. Particularly consequential among these are long-and short-term effects of ocean cycles along with changes in solar activity.
 
The pervasive hype that we are experiencing a known human-caused climate crisis is based upon speculative theories, contrived data and totally unproven modeling predictions. Much of this emanates from politically-corrupted processes and agenda-driven report conclusions rendered by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) which is trumpeted in the media as authoritative gospel.

Global elitists require one or more ongoing crises to maintain their power and shake down the wealthiest nations. So like good little Marxists, they take Comrade Lenin’s advice (see above) and continue to trumpet the the pseudo-science of climate change ad nauseam.
 
To understand the deceit underlying this entire global extortion scheme, the only quote you really need to remember is this one from Christine Stewart, then Canadian Minister of the environment, in 1998 (featured in Bell’s article) ~
