I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that the sudden jailhouse death of Jeffrey Epstein, financier and convicted sex criminal, will forever remain a mystery.
With today’s toxic mix of fake news, hyper-partisan politics, and instantaneous conspiracy theories, is it even possible that we’ll ever find out exactly what went down in the Metropolitan Correctional Center sometime early Saturday morning? Was it murder? Suicide? How about assisted suicide?

 
Here’s just a bit of the latest speculation ~

People Close to Epstein Think Accused Sex Trafficker Was Murdered ~

“People close to Epstein fear he was murdered…as Epstein told authorities someone tried to kill him in a previous incident weeks earlier. He was described as being in good spirits in recent days,” The Washington Post’s Carol Leonnig tweeted.
 
Given Epstein’s connections to many prominent individuals, some of whom were named co-conspirators in his case, conspiracy theories about his death emerged almost immediately, with some blaming Hillary or Bill Clinton and others straining to connect Epstein’s death to Trump-Russia “collusion.” […]

 
While the burden of proof certainly rests on those claiming some sort of conspiratorial murder of Epstein, Leonnig’s tweet suggests that those close to the accused sex trafficker also think his death is fishy.

What about Epstein’s alleged co-conspirators ~

Some alleged co-conspirators have already been named publicly, including former Sen. George Mitchell (D-Maine); former Gov. Bill Richardson (D-N.M.); the late scientist Marvin Minsky; modeling scout Jean-Luc Brunel; Hyatt Hotels magnate Tom Pritzker; prominent hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin; Epstein’s lawyer Alan Dershowitz; and Prince Andrew. Most of these men have denied the allegations. Many of their names were released Friday, hours before the prisoner’s death.
 
Without Epstein, it will be harder for these and other accused men and women to prove their innocence — and for authorities to convict the guilty among them.

It’s like you’re an animal and you’ve been brought into a kennel. A guy like Jeffrey, it’s like, “Holy sh-t.”

My personal theory? I think Epstein checked out with a little help from his friends.
No doubt the 66 year-old billionaire realized that the prospect of living out his remaining years as a miserable, caged animal was inconceivably bleak. He probably realized his chances of weaseling out of the charges this time around were slim-to-none. And given his large collection of unsavory-yet-wealthy associates, with motive and means, it’s not too difficult to imagine that one or more of them somehow managed to assist him in ending his own life.
 
But I also believe that we’ll never learn the complete truth.

And now, security in New York’s Alcatraz failed… for reasons unknown […]
 
A corrupt system enabled Jeffrey Epstein to abuse numerous girls. And now a corrupt system, somewhere in the shadowy maze of Civic Center, has drawn a final curtain over his death.
